Title:   Black Figure Hydria

Description:   Much of wall and all three handles missing; restored in plaster. Flat disk foot; rounded shoulder, its curve continuous with the neck. Broad projecting lip, the outer face slightly rounded. Glaze black except for underside and lower edge of foot and panel. Panel bordered above by row of blobs between bands; at sides by double row of dots between bands. A maenad pursued by a satyr; both figures right; she wears a chiton with deep kolpos forming sleeves; she looks back left and her left hand is raised. White for her flesh and for dots on her garment; trace of red on satyr's beard. A little coarse incision.
Context:   Well near middle of Tholos.
