Title:   Black Figure Lekythos

Description:   Mended from six pieces. Neck and mouth missing, also most of hare depicted on shoulder and most of reserved back and chips from base. Mounted warrior wears a sort of Phrygian cap with long red side-pieces, a riding cloak and a short white chiton. On his back is a crescent-shaped shield with a white(?) dot near each point. He carries two long javelins(?). Nude youths on either side each carry a javelin or wand. The three move right to a cloaked figure with staff, turned left; the youth to the right looks back at the horse. Red for fillets, mane of horse, front fold of trainer's(?) cloak. On shoulder, hare and hound; red band round base of neck and as collar for hound. A pair of red lines round glaze below figures.
