Title:   Red Figure Skyphos

Description:   Walls fragmentary; part of one side and most of the other, with part of one handle, missing. Restored in plaster. Red figure decoration:
A) Two figures, standing facing, but looking towards each other. At the left, a youth wearing chlamys and fillet, traveling hat hanging behind his head. At the right, a bearded figure semidraped in an himation and wearing a wreath; his right arm outstretched towards the first figure. One or the other carries a staff.
B) Preserved at right, the lower legs of an himation-clad figure. At extreme left, a drapery end (?).
Double palmettes and volutes under handles. Two reserved lines below the figures and a reserved groove at junction with foot; at center, three glaze circles and a dot.
The drawing all in broad black lines. No relief contour. White for fillets. Traces of red wash.
