Description: | Mended from ten pieces; preserved, the base ring, part of two opposite sides and a piece of the rim; part of one handle attachment. Figured scene depicts Athena and Enkelados. Reserved handle zone and narrow line round inside of lip. Palmettes beside handles. Rim curves out slightly at top. On underside of base and resting surface, dilute glaze wash. Good black glaze. Sparing hasty incision for interior details; no accessory color. | |
