Title:   Black Figure Cup Fragments

Description:   The fragments do not join.
a) Preserves part of the lip which curves outward slightly at the top, and at the right, the trace of a handle attachment; round the lip, two narrow glazed bands; below, a painted spiral.
b) Wall fragment shows the knee and left hand of a nude male figure, standing right and grasping a long uncertain object, painted with added red on the longer portion and with white on the short end which projects from the hand. Careful incision for the interior details.
c) Wall fragment with a painted spiral.
d) Handle, black glazed outside, reserved inside; between the points of attachment, a bit of decoration(?).
Inside, fine velvety black glaze; reserved line at lip.
Context:   Rectangular rockcut shaft.
