Title:   Vessel Fragment with Plastic Attachment: West Slope

Description:   Fragment from a large open vase with west slope decoration. The decorated band marks the line of the shoulder which curves in sharply. Above a broad scraped groove is a pattern of diminishing squares, painted on either side of the handle attachment, which is surrounded by a broad painted band, all in a heavy clay-colored paint. Relief mask at the base of twisted handle.
Firm glaze, on the outside reddish brown, on the inside a bright terracotta color.
Context:   Near foundations. In yellowish filling, possibly disturbed (MSBF).
