Description: | Two fragments from the lower wall of a coarse bell krater. a) Scene A) Part of a symposium, with a cushioned couch on which reclines a draped figure; near the end of the couch, a female figure standing right; table with cakes in front of couch. Handle ornament to right of fragment; large maeander border, broken by elaborate St. Andrew's crosses, below. b) Scene B) Parts of two cloaked figures, handle ornament at left; broken below. White for the dress of the standing figure; and for the objects on the table. No relief contour. ADDENDA A small additional fragment gives the upper left corner of the table. | |
