Title:   Biconical Jar: Red Burnished

Description:   Cracked, and a small piece missing from one side; otherwise intact, except for chips. Broad double conical shape, with high foot ring and vertical neck-mouth. On either side, just below the mouth, a lug handle with two vertical piercings, and with a lightly raised ridge depending from each end. Corresponding piercings in the base.
Gritty red to brown clay; red burnished slip showing traces of striped decoration.
ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ:   Αμφικωνικός στιλβωτός στάμνος με υψηλή δακτυλιόσχημη βάση και κάθετο στο σώμα του αγγείου λαιμό. Σχεδόν ακέραιος.
Context:   Well 22, Neolithic, close to bottom.
