Description: | The middle of the lid, with the spring of the knob (broken away) preserved. The edges of the lid are all broken, but a small bit of a flange, down-turned, near the outer edge of the fragment, remains. White for the eggs in the egg and dot pattern at the base of the knob, and for the centers of the palmettes in the outer band. At the outer edge of the fragment, traces of three narrow bands from which the glaze has worn away. The outside of the flange glazed; the underside of the lid reserved, with circle and dot ornament. Partial relief contours(?). | |
