Title:   Red Figure Lekanis Fragment

Description:   More than half of a broad horizontal handle is preserved, with a projecting ear beside its attachment to the vase, which has a flange for a lid. Ovolo pattern on the top of the handle; coarse palmette on the body of the vase. On the outside of the handle, painted over heavy brownish glaze, a branch, in thick clay-colored paint, with traces of gilding. The inside of the bowl glazed; the flange reserved and painted red; the inside of the handle reserved.
