Title:   Black Figure Olpe
ΤΙΤΛΟΣ:   Tριφυλλόστομη όλπη του Ζωγράφου των Γοργόνων με παράσταση κύκνου 600 - 590 π.Χ.

Description:   Pieces of wall missing. Slender rounded body forming continuous curve with neck; rising double rolled handle. Flaring foot. On side, a wide panel with a swan, right, wings outspread, head bent down; tops of wings solid red, lower part black with incised lines and spots of white for feathers; red for eye, beak, alternate petals and centers of two large rosettes in field. Two small rosettes black. Narrow band of thin glaze around inner edge of panel.
Good black glaze on inside of lip and the whole of the outside, save for the underside of the foot and a narrow reserved band between panel and foot and two triangles opposite panel. The handle unglazed save for lines of thin glaze on tops and outer edges of each half.
Pinkish-buff clay.
