Title:   Pyxis Lid Fragment

Description:   Ornamental knob only preserved, with something broken off at the top; five of the eight out-turned petals missing; the stem broken at the bottom but with traces of glaze inside the break. The heavy stem is ridged, the top of the lower knob grooved. Of the three remaining petals attached around it, the middle one is larger than the other two, and veined with small grooves.
Purplish-black glaze on the stem and underside of the flower-like top, and traces of glaze at the junction of the two knobs.
