Title:   Black Figure Lekythos

Description:   Part of lip and much of wall missing. Many small fragments not joined. Shoulder lekythos with shallow echinus mouth and disk foot. On the shoulder a large cock, right, and two ivy leaves. On wall, a draped figure, seated right on a folding stool, facing a standing warrior armed with crested helmet, shield and greaves. A standing draped figure, holding a spear, to either side, facing in. Glazed ground line. Purple: three stripes on body of cock; fillet around helmet, rim of shield and its divice (missing); also for fillets of draped figures, and bands on their drapery. A little incision. Mouth, outside of handle, lower part of wall and top of foot glazed; worn on lip. Edge of foot and its underside reserved.
