Description: | Fragment from floor of bowl; small depressed base surrounded by spiral grooves and ridges. Inside, in relief, the head and shoulder of a satyr; his head wreathed, a skin knotted around his neck. Note two small perforations over his head. Pinkish-buff clay, black to brown glaze, somewhat worn. A scraped groove around the relief, and traces of a ring of dots in an added color (white?) on the glaze just outside. | |
