Title:   Moldmade Bowl with Maker's Signature
Category:   Pottery
Description:   Much of lip, and fragments of body missing. High rather sharply out-turned rim; rather deep narrow body. Rim plain. On body, a hexagonal net pattern: in top row hexagons are truncated and decorated with semicircular lines, dots, "arrowheads" and ivy leaves; second row of hexagons plain; in third row, the signature, retrograde, in raised letters, disposed in the hexagons as follows: <graphic>
A vacant hexagon between first and last letters of name; the fourth and lowest row of the net pattern, which has only five sides, is decorated with a large leaf in each compartment. On bottom, a rosette. The floor inside rises to a point at the center.
