Title:   Kantharos: West Slope

Description:   One handle, much of foot, and some of rim and body missing. Restored in plaster. Shape as P 16238 (ΕΕ 414). Plastic ivy leaf on handles, garland of ivy in added yellow on upper part of body. Mended with lead clamps in antiquity.
Glaze red to black, worn.
ADDENDA P 16238: More or less cylindrical body, narrowing slightly toward top. Profiled ring foot. Plain rim, rounded, a scraped groove below it outside; a second scraped groove at the line of the lower handle attachments. Vertical band handles.
Context:   Cistern, lower fill.
