Title:   Spouted Basin

Description:   Sixteen fragments, some consisting of several joined pieces, of a basin similar to P 3310 (Γ 374). The pot is not sufficiently whole to deserve restoration at present:
a) part of base of wall, b) spout, c) handle, d) wall with pie-crust decoration. The preserved fragments give part of handle and of base, part of wall, and the spout almost complete. Rim missing. From a flat-bottomed basin with almost vertical walls and a large spout with flaring lip, springing from wall below rim. Horizontal handles, round in section. A raised ridge with pie-crust indentations around the wall below the rim.
Pinkish-buff clay; thin dull glaze varying from black to purplish-brown on interior and on upper part of exterior.
Notes:   0.35m. to bottom.
Context:   Well.
