Description: | Two fragments from body and rim, (a) and (c). Incised decoration: vertical panels of hatchings and circles surrounded by dots and diamonds. White filling preserved (cf. ArchEph (1898), pl. 2, no. 14; ArchEph 1912, p. 35, fig. 15, no. 2). Handmade. Polished ware. Cf. P 1669 for clay. ADDENDA 1: Originally there were three fragments (a, b, c) recorded as belonging to this pot. It was decided later that fragment b) does not belong; this fragment became P 1671 BIS. ADDENDA 2: as Feb. 2010, frags. b and c have been recorded as P 1671BIS a and b and will be published as such. | |
