Description:   Fragment from shoulder of large neck amphora.
Zone of chain pattern between lines.
Reddish-buff clay with smooth lustrous surface; drippings from a thin clay wash inside. Surface damaged. Black lustrous paint.
Possibly from the lower shoulder of the same vase as P 576 is from. The upper part, cf. the more complicated braid on the New York Nessos amphora.
Orientalizing style.
Context:   Geometric area outside house, votive deposit.
