Title:   Black Glaze Pyxis with Incised and Paint Decoration

Description:   Two fragments of a large pyxis with a broad horizontal flange. The outer edge of the flange reserved and set off by a groove, and decorated with an egg pattern made by incising in the unbaked clay. The lower part of the incurving wall above the flange also reserved, this also decorated with a large egg pattern, here drawn carelessly in glaze.
Dull black glaze.
ADDENDA P 21112 is a non-joining fr. of this pyxis. Several additional fragments, one joining, the others found in tin ΝΝ 399 (cistern at 69/ΜΖ = B 18:13).
Context:   Well, fills 1-3. With terracottas.
