Title:   Red Figure Lid Fragments

Description:   Mended from several pieces; one rim fragment and three wall fragments do not join. Deep lid with plain flat rim, slightly thickened and projecting. Nearly half the circumference preserved, but none of the top. Attic animal style. Above, rays; below, two animal friezes separated by purple bands. In the upper, sirens, lions, panther, bird; in the lower, winged horse, siren, lion, swans. Filling ornaments of circles, blobs, and crisscrosses. Added purple.
Small hole near rim on a) and on b).
Buff clay pink at core.
