Title:   Black Glaze Kantharos

Description:   Complete save for the tip of one of the thumb-rests and a chip from the outside of the moulded ring base. The lip flares slightly at the top but there is no real rim. On the base two scratched grooves, one outside and one beneath on the resting surface. Good squat shape; cf. P 1819, more slender.
Dull black glaze all over; fired red around the bottom and somewhat mottled with brown on the lip.
Context:   Well.
