Title:   Bowl Fragment with Relief Decoration

Description:   Part of rim and wall preserved. Rim flat on top, vertical faced and slightly projecting. Two grooves on wall above relief decoration. Combat scene: helmeted figure, left, grasping a nude kneeling figure by the hair. Foliage in the background; traces of other figures near break at right (the upraised arm and the leg of a running figure).
Buff clay; thin dull red glaze inside and out.
Context:   N-S Trench VIII, upper fill. Context as late as 3rd. c. A.D.
