Title:   Moldmade Bowl

Description:   Mended from several pieces; fragmentary; the profile complete. Restored in plaster. Similar to P 18659 (ΔΔ 277) and using some of the same stamps (e.g. the cocks) but not from the same mould. Medallion, rosette with jewelled petals, a beaded ring around, from which springs a double overlapping row of grooved leaves. Above, so far as preserved, cocks and kraters around; above them, Nikai and waterbirds, alternating. Upper zone, guilloche, beaded line, then reversed double spirals in pairs, a small leaf atop each pair.
Glaze metallic inside and out.
