Description:   Black glaze knob for large lid. Broken off at neck and the base missing. Joined to P 18001.
Firm black glaze, rather dull, and with metallic splotches. Around the shoulder, carefully rendered in thinned clay paint, a wreath of pairs of pointed leaves alternating with triple berry clusters.
ADDENDA Formerly thought to be a "small extremely heavy-walled pot, the shape a slender ovoid, somewhat resembling an olpe; the neck very narrow. The neck is filled with clay which is pierced only by two very small holes. Small pellets rattle within."
