Description: | The neck and the lip, except a bit at the back, broken away. Neck vertical; base flat, slightly flaring. Decoration of painted bird walking right, in dull blue with blobs of brown, painted on a white slip, and covered with a very pale greenish glaze. The bird, inside a banded frame, is set obliquely, without regard for the shape of the pot; his feet may be seen to the right of the large brown blob in the photograph; his tail to the left, below. The ground line(?) is indicated by brown blobs within blue lines running up the side of the pot vertically, to the right. Coarse pinkish clay. | |
