Description: | Several joining fragments preserve part of the wall, shoulder, neck and rim. The lower part mold made; the rounded shoulder, neck and rim wheel made. Short wide neck with round mouth; flaring rim grooved on top and on overhanging vertical face. Moulded decoration: sections of small imbricated leaves separated by large heavily veined leaves; a band of rosettes above. On the shoulder and neck, remains of painted decoration in added clay and white. Fine yellow-buff clay; red glaze, much peeled, inside and out. Cf. Agora XXXII, no. 1681 (P 19376). | |
