Description: | Partly preserved; complete profile of one side preserved. Restored in plaster. Medallion: dim Athena Parthenos head. Body: large acanthus leaves, extending from medallion to upper terminal border, alternating with groups of three smaller feathered leaves; on either side of the central feathered leaf is an Eros with a torch in left hand. Upper terminal border: crude egg and dart. Slightly projecting rim with incised line immediately beneath. Protuberance in center of floor of interior. Pinkish-buff clay. Metallic black glaze. | |
