Title:   Black Glaze Pyxis with Lid

Description:   Both lid and bowl broken, but complete save for a few chips. Plain handleless bowl, the rim inset to take the lid. High heavy ring foot, the resting surface broad, a small concavity at the center. Lid slightly domed, the rim downturned, the heavy knob grooved and ridged.
Thin glaze, over all on the lid; not reaching to foot on bowl; metallic grayish-black on the lid; on the bowl brown to red, very uneven.
Conservation Status:   Finished
Context:   Pyre in N.W. Room of Poros Building = Pyre 1.
