Title:   Krater: West Slope

Description:   Nine fragments giving part of rim, of upper wall and of handles. Restored in plaster. Flaring lip; rope handles.
Lip: interior, white zigzag band with yellow leaves and white dot flowers; exterior, wave pattern in yellow and white with dolphins and leaves above.
Wall moulded. Upper zone: line of circles, hatched band and spirals, leaves and rosettes above. Below: a zone of chariots. On fragment a), below these, the upper part of a man riding right. On other fragments, Pan masks.
Good black glaze. Attic. Reddened groove on rim, at edge of upper surface, and outside at junction of rim and wall. Yellow and white paint well preserved.
ADDENDA Theseus and the Marathonian Bull.
Context:   Square Building, fill over floor. Pier 13 west, strosis bottom of 8th course to strosis bottom of 9th course.
