Title:   Three-Handled Jar

Description:   Mended; complete save minor chips. Wide mouth, flat projecting rim, broad neck, vertical band handles on shoulder; broad body tapering to narrow flat base, flaring and slightly concave beneath. The mouth glazed inside; on the rim a wavy line and a thin band; a broad band around the neck; the handles glazed. Decoration in shoulder zone: simple scale pattern bordered by narrow bands. On the lower body, two broad bands bordered by narrow; the foot glazed.
Fine greenish-gray clay; brown to black glaze badly worn.
Context:   Mycenaean chamber tomb at north side of Temple of Ares. Pot #9.
