Description:   Most of the lower part of the pot, with one handle attachment, and part of the upper wall and rim, preserved. Restored in plaster. Deep pear-shaped pot with wide round mouth, offset inside to take a lid, its vertical face grooved.
Gritty brownish-buff clay, blackened from use.
Other fragmentary cooking pots from same fill discarded.
ADDENDA Probably two-handled, i.e. lidded chytra. Cf. P 19255.
Broken in moving. Restuck [March 58]. Much missing.
Context:   Well by Attalos pier III, bottom fill.
