Title:   Red Figure Bell Krater Fragments

Description:   Two fragments, one mended from two pieces, give parts of the pictures on both sides and the beginning of the rim. Non-joining lug handle. Reserved groove at the junction of mouth; band with strokes above the picture. On each side two youths conversing.
A) Lower half of one figure to right, wrapped in himation, feet missing; head and part of chest of youth, wrapped in himation to left. Between them a strigil hangs.
B) Head and chest of a youth to right. He wears himation and holds lyre in right hand. Of his companion only part of the forehead hair is seen. Between them a cross-like object hangs.
N.B. difference in style of the two sides B) painted by another hand in a more developed style(?). Relief contour only for the lyre and the cross-like object.
