Title:   Pointed Pyxis

Description:   Originally one fragment catalogued. Later P 1639 and many fragments added from pyre H 16:6 and ΣΤ tins 9, 128, 164, 165, 169, 170. Restored in plaster.
Pattern shows band of four parallel zigzags, with dots between the points, bordered on either side with narrow parallel bands. The pattern ran horizontally around the vase. Of the bordering bands, three are preserved on one side of the zigzags, and a bit of one on the other side.
Fine buff clay. Decoration in lustrous black to brown glaze, very well preserved. No glaze on interior of vase.
