Title:   Black Glaze Kantharos Fragment with Plastic Attachment: Satyr Mask

Description:   Broken all around. Center of floor and a little of the wall of a footless cup (handless kantharos). Small concave bottom, set off from wall by a broad scraped groove. The wall outside lightly ribbed, with close-set vertical incised lines. At center of floor, satyr mask.
Reddish clay, fired gray in places. Good black glaze, somewhat worn. The groove on the bottom was filled with red.
Context:   South of E-W late Roman wall, 4th. c. hole.
