Title:   Black Figure Lekythos Fragments

Description:   Neck and shoulder fragment preserved; also section of wall mended from six fragments.
a) Neck and shoulder fragment.
Palmette on shoulder; a standing cloaked figure on either side. Most of the right hand figure preserved; of the left the head and a piece of the cloak only. Neck glazed part way inside. Scanty incision. Red used for left hand figure's hair; for bands on cloaks and for part of the palmette. White used for lines (faded) on right hand figure's cloak. Red in groove at junction of neck and shoulder.
b) Wall fragment with small part of shoulder. Combat scene; two hoplites in between spectators; cf. P 1357. The right part of the scene only preserved; with part of one warrior, right, turned back left(?), and a cloaked figure facing him. Red for hair, for broad band and dots on cloak, and for two lines below scene.
Context:   Cut at north end of terrace of Stoa of Attalos, from pit in bedrock at S.E. corner.
