Title:   Oinochoe: Polychrome Ware

Description:   Mended from many pieces; parts of body and large part of mouth restored in plaster. Trefoil mouth; high band handle, concave on outside; wide-bellied body sharply offset from short neck; slightly flaring ring foot. Short rays above foot. The body, banded to the shoulder: three purple bands, bordered by white lines over the black glaze; three purple lines on uppermost black zone. On shoulder zone, two black alternating panels: one of them with two vertical rows of white dots, and one purple panel. Panels divided by two incised lines; incised line at base of neck. Concentric circle motif incised on rim.
Pinkish-buff clay; dull black very worn, glaze, except on and within foot. Thin glaze band around foot.
Context:   Well.
