Description:   Stamnos on high stand. Mended from many pieces. Small parts of body, parts of junction of stand and body missing. Deep ovoid body on high flaring base. Shallow inward turned rim, concave on its upper face (as if for lid?). Double rolled horizontal handles, one inside the other. Base perforated by two staggered rows of elongated inverted triangles. Body greatly thickened at juncture with base.
Outer surface solidly glazed except for space between handles which has an upright loop ornament with thickenings on the sides, standing on the lower edge of the glaze. Three lines of glaze on the outside, two on the inside of the handles. Traces of white about handles. On each side of both handles a white vertical spiral ornament, meeting two thin white lines somewhat below handle zone. These two lines evidently continue around body. Groove directly below handles, three grooves on base dividing the zones of cut-out triangles.
Pinkish-buff clay, red to black glaze, very much worn.
