Title:   Black Figure Skyphos

Description:   Mended from several pieces; few pieces missing from rim and upper walls restored in plaster. Outcurving rim, slanting loop handles, disk foot with narrow resting surface and convex bottom.
On both sides, between eyes, naked youth wearing amulet, strides forward with both arms stretched out in front of him. The scene is taken from a boxing scene. Reserved: inside of rim, inside of handles, a band at some distance below the picture, the profile of the foot, the resting surface and the bottom. White for amulets.
Pinkish-buff clay; dull glaze fired grayish.
