Description: | [Originally identified as mortar(?)] Small segment with rim, floor and upper part of high base preserved. Gently sloping floor with thickened lip, a groove around its top; a hole through the floor; edge preserved ca. 0.15m. in from rim. Heavy tile fabric, buff to reddish-buff at core, buff at surface, lighter buff surfacing on exterior; the surface of the floor gritty, and stained as if from burning. Fragment of another similar object with hole through floor, of same fabric, stored with sherds from same fill in Tin 262. | |
