Title:   Pyxis with Lid: Type B

Description:   Full profile of pyxis preserved, about one-third of side missing. Small ring foot with flange at base of straight side wall. Thin red glaze save for some black on flange. Resting surface and space inside foot reserved.
About half of top of lid and only part of wall preserved. Top reserved, with pattern of dots and dashes; band of glaze at top of side wall; reserved below along edge of break.
Fine pink to buff fabric; considerable remains of red wash on reserved surfaces. Glaze fired red to black.
Context:   Well to north of Nymphaeum, Box 128.
