Title:   Black Figure Lekythos
ΤΙΤΛΟΣ:   Λήκυθος με διακόσμηση ανθεμίων 500 π.Χ. περίπου

Description:   Mended from three pieces; small piece of foot missing. Low flaring mouth; no ring at junction with foot.
On shoulder, rays and lotus buds, the stalks skipping two. On wall, two rows of inscribed feather-like palmettes, curving out from above and below a chain; between them, white petals. The hearts of the palmettes red, with white dots around. Below, a red band.

This lekythos is a good example of the dipping of the vase into dilute glaze for the background.
ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ:   Λήκυθος με φυτικό διάκοσμο. Στο ύψος του ώμου διακρίνεται ακτινωτή διακόσμηση. Αποτελείται από τρία συνενούμενα τμήματα.
