Description: | Lower half only preserved. General type as P 24316 (ΣΑ 2526): This is the characteristic general type for the large proportion of the lekythoi from this group. Bell mouth with variations in height and spread; lip usually reserved, occasionally glazed. Disk foot of varying thickness; below picture either one or two reserved lines. Added colors more or less well preserved. Only substantial variations are noted in the following descriptions. Two red lines below picture. Scene: a figure in himation mounting chariot; a Satyr walking in front of the horses, another draped figure stands at their side. Very close to P 24363 (ΣΑ 2573). | |
