Description:   One handle and adjacent parts of rim and body preserved. Shape similar to P 24973 (ΣΑ 3081) but fabric heavier. Broad reserved bands inside. Outside, rim and handle zone reserved, with a glaze line at upper level of handle attachment.

ADDENDA Very hard thin purplish fabric. Fabric and glaze very close to samples brought by J. Benson (July 17, 1961) from Leros along with other varieties of East Greek. Cf. Haufmann in Weinberg (1956), Studies Goldman, p. 177, passim.
Context:   Well near Stoa Terrace Fountain.
