Title:   Black Figure Column Krater Fragment

Description:   Four joining fragments from wall; glaze inside firm but rough.
Battle scene. Parts of three men preserved. At center, a bearded warrior runs his spear into a man at the right, who carries a great shield: device, chariot. The wounded man's failing legs show under the shield. At left, part of a third figure.
White for shield device; red, now faded, for shield reins and beard.
Context:   In stones and earth at south face of square poros block on east lip of pit 58/ΛΖ.
