Description:   Numerous fragments mend up to two.
a) From wall; lower right side of panel. Lion to right: part of head, foreparts, belly and hind legs preserved. Incised crisscross and dot rosettes for filling ornament.
b) From upper wall and beginning of neck. Part of tail and top of panel preserved. Dot rosettes.
Reddish-brown glaze; added red.
ADDENDA Joning fragment added May 1960 preserves much of body.
Context:   Archaic Temple, S.W.; pocket in bedrock.
