Title:   Red Figure Oinochoe Fragment

Description:   Base and lower part of body preserved, mended from many pieces. Lower border, maeander and checkerboard pattern; right side, single reserved line.
Parts of two figures preserved in this panel: at the right, the lower part of a nude male figure running left; the body missing from the waist up, also his right knee and most of his left foot and ankle. Over his left arm (and probaby over his shoulder, since the other end of it appears between his legs) he carries a chlamys. To the left is the bare right foot of another figure. It is raised above the ground line formed by the maeander pattern.
No contours; inner drawing in thin black relief lines.
Pink clay; good black glaze; resting surface of ring base and the space within it, reserved. On the interior a thin black wash. Traces of pink wash on the figures.
