Title:   Moldmade Bowl

Description:   Mended from several pieces and restored in plaster; complete except for chips.
Medallion: small eight-petalled rosette, surrounded by scraped band and circle of dots, from which springs a row of short pointed leaves.
Middle zone, lower part: six long palm fronds; between the fronds, leopards or panthers leaping right, alternating with warriors facing left, making three sets of combatants in all; warriors armed with spear, long oblong shield and helmet with horsehair plume.
Middle zone, upper part: six pairs of winged Nikai flank bearded masks; these groups alternate with bearded masks.
Rim pattern: a row of ribbed leaves, a row of dots, a row of double spirals and a row of palmettes placed over every other spiral; scraped line just below lip.
Orange clay. Somewhat metallic black glaze.
