Description: | Includes fragment b) from P 30014. Flaring rim with flat top sloping outward, reserved bands at lip and below lip inside. Below offset of rim is a band of ovoles. Lug handles. a) Preserves complete diameter and part of scenes of both sides. Mended from 14 pieces. b) Mended from two pieces. A)Preserved is a figure at far left, his head turned to right, his left hand outstretched and upraised. He wears a crested helmet and carries a shield with device of running hoplite in black figure. At far right are traces of the rest of another helmeted figure. B) At right a draped male with staff walking left. In center, draped male walking right, head turned left. At left, draped figure with staff walking right. Ground line: maeander and saltire squares. Mostly glazed red with some patches of black inside and out. Orange clay. | |
