Description: | From near the shoulder of a large closed vase; unglazed inside. The fragment shows marked curvature. Parts of two figures facing right, from procession with chariot, preserved. The first, a wreathed youth holding the cithara (Apollo), half draped, is preserved from head to waist. The second, a draped woman (?) stands in front of him, the front part of the figure preserved from breast to waist, the hands outstretched, holdng reins. Part of the chariot rail below. Red for the youth's wreath; white for the back support of the chariot rail. Orange wash. Free careless incision. ADDENDA The woman might be Artemis; Artemis drives Apollo's chariot. Cf.
